Roslindale Porch Fest
Performer Support Program
In 2024 we are piloting the Roslindale Porch Fest Performer Support Program. We have earmarked a small fund to provide financial assistance to performers who need help with expenses directly related to their participation in Roslindale Porch Fest. Eligible performers can apply for up to $175 to cover costs such as transportation, equipment rental, or other necessary expenses. The total amount of funds available for the program will be determined by the Porch Fest committee, dependent upon our fundraising.
The majority of performers at Roslindale Porch Fest will be able to cover their own expenses. But if you genuinely need help in order to take part in Porch Fest, then please consider applying.
Porch Fest is a community event where people perform for free in order to share their music and their love of live performance, and to connect with their neighbors. We celebrate this grassroots, community aspect of the event, but performing can incur various costs, and we are committed to removing financial barriers to participation.
The Roslindale Porch Fest Performer Support Program aims to make our festival as accessible as possible to all musicians, regardless of financial circumstances. It is not intended to be a payment to musicians for their time, as this goes against the spirit of Porch Fest (and would be unsustainable, given the size of Porch Fest).
